Friends of Prince George Public Library announces first book sale in over two years

PRINCE GEORGE — The Friends of the Prince George Public Library Society announced Friday (April 8) that they will be hosting a book sale April 22 and 23.

It will be the first book sale after two years of delays due to the pandemic.

“We are overflowing with books,” said Margaret Johnson, past president and director with the FPGPLS.

The Society usually hosts two book sales a year. Because of their high inventory, they are not able to accept any book donations until after the sale.

Books are sold by donation. The proceeds from the book sale will go towards special items, programs and initiatives at PGPL.

The sale will be on Friday April 22 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday April 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Friends of the Prince George Public Library are a group of local volunteers dedicated to supporting the PGPL.
