Father-daughter shopping trip leads to 57K lottery win

PRINCE GEORGE — A successful shopping trip for a Cariboo family.

The BC Lottery Corporation says Timothy Cail was waiting for his daughter to finish shopping when he decided to buy a Lotto 6/49 ticket for the February 2, 2022 draw and won $57,859.

The Williams Lake resident purchased the ticket at Pine Centre Mall and was told of his win while he was out of town for work.

“My wife scanned the ticket for me and sent me a screenshot of the winning amount. It was pretty exciting as I didn’t expect it to happen.”
