April was one of the coldest on record in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George had one of the top five coldest April’s in over a century according to the River Forecast Centre.

Prince George, along with other communities in northern B.C., saw temperatures well below average seasonal temperatures for a large portion of April.

Record keeping for weather in the area goes back over a century.

Prince George isn’t forecasted to be warmer than 15 degrees until this Sunday, when a high of 17 is expected.
