PRINCE GEORGE — Sasha and Eliza Primus are making an impact on their community at just six and eight years old with the second annual Little Girls with Big Hearts food drive.

The Primus sisters are looking for any non-perishable food items but more specifically pancake mix and syrup, oatmeal, and peanut butter and jam. All food drive proceeds will go to the St Vincent de Paul Society.

The St Vincent de Paul Society operates out of the downtown core of Prince George and provides three meals a day to anyone in need. Bernie Goold, who sits on the board of directors for the St Vincent De Paul Society, believes the work of Sasha and Eliza is inspiring.

“It really is special because I think children learn that there are other people, maybe not as well off as them. It is such a broad spectrum that they look at and see others in need. It touches us deeply that they have been brought up so caring that this something they want to do”.

Hobby Brews, located at 2424 Ospika Blvd South, will be accepting donations until May 12. If you can’t and still want to help, contact the food drive organizer at 250- 640- 6529.
