Family renews plea for answers seven years after disappearance of Laureen Fabian

HOUSTON — Seven years after she vanished without a trace, the family of Laureen Fabian is once again asking the public for help in finding answers about what happened to their loved one.

Fabian was last seen on October 28, 2019, when she left her home in Houston for a walk, something family members say she had done many times before. Unlike previous outings, however, she never returned.

Following her disappearance, the RCMP and local Search and Rescue teams launched an extensive ground and air search of the area. Despite those efforts, investigators were unable to locate Fabian or determine where she may have gone.

Now, on the seventh anniversary of her disappearance, her family is renewing their appeal for information from the public. Fabian’s daughter, Catrina Andrews, has shared a video message urging anyone who may know something about her mother’s disappearance to come forward.

At the time she went missing, Fabian was described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • 69 years old
  • 5’4″ (163 cm)
  • 143 pounds (65 kg)
  • Short grey hair
  • Brown eyes

The investigation is currently being handled by the North District Major Crime Unit.

Anyone with information about Laureen Fabian’s disappearance is asked to contact the Houston RCMP Detachment at 250-845-3069 or their local police department.
