RCMP investigating social media post at DP Todd Secondary

PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are currently working with the staff and students at DP Todd to investigate a social media post received by a student yesterday (May 18).

RCMP say the content of the post is concerning to police and they are looking to find the original sender. It was a stock post of a meme found on the internet.

The post triggered the school’s hold and secure protocol this morning, which meant securing the school’s exterior doors and not allowing anyone inside or out.

That protocol has since been lifted because RCMP does not believe there is an increased risk to students or staff.

Police would like to speak to the original sender of the post to find out that person’s motivation.
