PRINCE GEORGE – The minister of advanced education stopped by UNBC today to announce provincial funding for graduate students to spark innovation and economic growth.

$3.75 million in scholarship funding was divided amongst ten other institutions.

Tuesday afternoon, Minister Kang intends to make life more affordable for some graduate students by decreasing or eliminating the financial pressures they sometimes face when working on their schooling.

According to Kang, the cost of education has risen in the past few years. Therefore investing in the B.C.’s brightest minds can be good for the province.
