PRINCE GEORGE – The Little Prince that’s typically scheduled to run for the May long weekend has been delayed until the middle of June because of staffing challenges.

The sound of the steam whistle coming from The Little Prince that’s heard while it travels on a 2-kilometre rail line in the Park near The Exploration Place will be silenced until June 18th. The Fort George Railway is Canada’s shortest passenger railway, and the wood-burning steam engine is a unique Canadian artifact.

According to the CEO of The Exploration Place, Tracy Calogheros, once the track inspection and a hydrostatic test have passed, the train should be operating on June 18th.
