PRINCE GEORGE – If you’re someone who LOVES food, live music, and arts and crafts, then this weekend is tailored to you. This weekend PG will play host to the BC Gourmet Arts Festival, the first of its kind here in the North.

Hosted by the Community Arts Council of Prince George & District it’s going to highlight BC’s top local food producers, artists, and local hospitality personalities with several events occurring over the weekend.

“For years and years, decades we had an event called spring arts bazaar and the great northern chili cook-off, well that got canceled over the pandemic” explained Eli Klasner, who is the Executive Director, Community Arts Council of Prince George “We used to have it on the front yard of Studio 2880 but, we felt it was growing every year. So, this year, after we had a very successful Studio fair here at CN Centre, we just decided to go for broke and do a whole big three-day event.”

The event begins on Friday, June 10th, and carries through the entire weekend. There will be vendors offering an incredible assortment of quality Canadian handmade goods to choose from including the best in gourmet spirits, tableware, pottery, textiles, glassware, and much, much more. You are sure to be delighted to discover true artisan quality and one-of-a-kind items. And for the entire family, lots of fun activities, including Gourmet Chef presentations, the Great Canadian Chili Cook-Off.

Admission is by donation for the weekend and there is something for everyone.
