Kodiaks looking for cheerleaders to join new cheer squad program
PRINCE GEORGE– When you think of football you often think, of big hits, Touchdowns, Celebrations, and Cheerleaders! The Prince George Kodiaks have the first 3 boxes checked off, and are in the process of checking the 4th, having their very own Cheer Squad.
“In a town like Prince George. Like there’s so much support here for any kind of sports. Historically, football has cheerleaders, right? So it’s exciting that there’s a new football team in town. I think just having cheerleaders adds that extra layer of excitement.” – Shawni Jewett, Cheer Coordinator, Prince George Kodiaks
So Shawni Jewett was tasked with being the cheer coordinator for the Kodiaks Cheer Program. Being a former cheerleader herself in the BC Football Conference she knows what a cheer team can do for both the fans and cheerleaders
