All COVID-19 border restrictions to end this week

OTTAWA — Federal ministers say all COVID-19 border restrictions will end as of Saturday, including mandatory vaccinations, testing and quarantine of international travellers.
The cabinet order maintaining the border measures will not be renewed when it expires on September 30.
Masks will also no longer be required on planes and trains, and the controversial ArriveCan app will no longer be mandatory when the order expires.
Federal officials say travellers can still use the app to submit customs and immigration declarations before they arrive at certain airports.
