The Community Health and Inclusion Coalition all candidates forum

PRINCE GEORGE – A standing-room-only crowd of nearly 140 people filled the Omineca Arts Centre Tuesday night to listen to 23 candidates running for office this Saturday.

Those running for a position at the city council table fielded scripted questions from the Community Health and Inclusion Coalition.

The 23 candidates were part of a packed house, and each had limited time to answer questions.

Most of the candidates agreed the city needs more social housing. They also feel more assistance is required to help with drug addiction.

But the real issue as I see this as almost an information session. Like some of the speakers talked about it kind of as a growth thing for them to be exposed to different views. I certainly think a supply of drugs regulated by doctors would be helpful in helping people to stabilize.
