PRINCE GEORGE — 24 hours after the Brandon Bobcats got their first win of the season, the Timberwolves took care of business on Saturday (Feb.11) winning by a score of 90-71.
Both teams got off to a solid start but the Timberwolves would claim the first quarter, leading 24-22 on the Bobcats.
Sveta Boykova would knock down two three-pointers in the second quarter as part of her game-high 31 point performance. Boykova would stay perfect from beyond the arch, shooting 4-4 from three-point range as the Timberwolves would take control and go into the first half leading 47-36 on the Bobcats.
Despite a strong outing from the Bobcats in the fourth quarter, the Timberwolves would continue applying pressure in the second half. Tallying 43 total points en route to their eighth win to end the 2022-2023 campaign on a positive note.
