Cougars drop 5-2 decision to Saskatoon

PRINCE GEORGE —The Prince George Cougars lost their second game in a row Tuesday night to the visiting Saskatoon Blades, 5-2.
Zac Funk and Jaxsen Wiebe had the Cougar markers, while Tyler Brennan made 21 saves on 26 Saskatoon shots.
Despite the loss, forward Chase Wheatcroft extended his point scoring streak to 14 games with an assist. Fellow Cougar Jaxsen Wiebe extended is point scoring streak to 10 games with a third period marker.
The attendance was 2,162. The Cats are back on the ice Monday when they host the Portland Winterhawks at 2 p.m.
