Cougars beat Winterhawks in shootout

PRINCE GEORGE —The Prince George Cougars defeated the visiting Portland Winterhawks 1-0 in a shootout this afternoon before 3,423 fans at CN Centre.

Zac Funk scored the shootout winner in the seventh round of the shootout.

Tyler Brennan made 31 saves to earn the shutout. The teams meet again tomorrow night at CN Centre. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
