Chase Wheatcroft picks up WHL Player of the Month honours

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Cougars forward Chase Wheatcroft has been named the WHL’s player of the month for February.

Wheatcroft finished the month with 12 goals and 16 assists in 12 games.

Wheatcroft currently leads the league in power play goals with 21. He also leads the Cougars in goals with 40 and points with 84.

The Cougars return to the ice tonight when they host the Vancouver Giants. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. at CN Centre.
