Logging truck accident on Highway 16

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The highway has opened up to single-lane alternating traffic.

Earlier: Highway 16 East is closed in both directions, 32 kilometers east of Purden Lake, due to a motor vehicle incident.

Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, with the North District RCMP, says that the accident was between two logging trucks and a snow plow, and occurred just before 10 am.

No injuries have been reported. DriveBC says that a detour is not available. An estimated time of opening not available.
