VANCOUVER — Health Minister Adrian Dix and Dr. Bonnie Henry were in Vancouver today to give an update on the status of Covid-19 and booster shots in the province.

The province will be administering another round of Covid boosters in the spring. Henry said that people over 80 years old and Indigenous peoples over 70 will be applicable in the coming months of the rollout to get another booster, and will transition to other age groups as the rollout continues.

Minister Dix said that the British Columbia’s record during Covid-19 speaks for itself.

“The record on COVID 19 for British Columbia compared to other jurisdictions is an excellent record, and I think people understand that we frequently describe these things in terms of how did the government do, how did public health do.” – Adrian Dix, Minister of Health

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is reminding everyone to still stay vigilant when it comes to protecting yourself from illness.

“A good reminder that we need to remain vigilant in our efforts to protect ourselves, our loved ones, our communities and our families.” – Dr. Bonnie Henry, Provincial Health Officer
