PRINCE GEORGE — Recent data from the BC River Forecast Centre shows that BC’s snow pack has increased significantly.

The snow survey and water supply bulletin for March shows that the snowpack increased to near normal levels with the average of all snow measurements across the province measuring 94 percent of normal. For the Prince George area, the snowpack is at 96 percent of normal, while to the west it increases to 124 percent of normal.

The River Forecast Centre says that areas with near normal or slightly below normal are still at risk for spring flooding if adverse weather occurs.
