Highway 1 expected to close temporarily due to avalanche control work

KAMLOOPS — Drivers who are planning to travel towards Alberta through Highway one should expect to see a delay on Saturday afternoon (Mar.18).

According to DriveBC, both directions on the highway between Field and the BC/Alberta Border will be closed as crews will be working on avalanche control. The road will be closed at 2 p.m. and is expected to re-open at 4 p.m.
