College Heights Secondary School hosts exchange students from Tokyo Highschool

PRINCE GEORGE – Students at College Heights Secondary School who took part in an exchange trip to Japan earlier this year, are now returning the favor, and are playing host to students from Daito Bunka Dai-ichi, a High school in the ultra-urban heart of Tokyo.

Students were engaged in a busy week here in Prince George, touring both the CNC and UNBC, before taking in some of the leisure activities the city has to offer, and finally settling down to sample some of CHSS’s programming, like woodshop.

Daito Bunka students & staff explained the biggest take away from their visit to canada, was a feeling of absolute awe when they first got to experience the natural beauty of the North, and they were just as impressed with the unyielding hospitality of their hosts.

To cap off their final weekend with new friends, some of the Canadian host families are planning to visit Japser and Mt Robson with Daito Bunka students, one last chance for the exchange students to experience the great Canadian wilderness before they say their emotional goodbyes and head back to Japan next Tuesday, taking fond memories back with them, that are sure to last a lifetime.
