PRINCE GEORGE — Today is Green Shirt Day, which honours the life and legacy of Logan Boulet, who passed away on April 7, 2018 from his injuries sustained in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Logan Boulet was one of 16 people who lost their life in the tragic crash that took place on Highway 35 near Armley, Saskatchewan on April 6, 2018 after a semi-truck collided with the team’s bus.

B.C. Minister of Health Adrian Dix released a statement today saying that “this day serves as a reminder to all people in B.C. that they too have an opportunity to save the lives of their fellow citizens.”

In the statement, it says that in 2022, there were 74 living kidney donors and 159 deceased organ donors contributing to 465 transplants performed and over 5,800 recipients now receiving care in B.C.
