Cougars win first playoff series since 2007

PRINCE GEORGE — Chase Wheatcroft scored at the 2:31 mark of overtime to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 5-4 overtime victory over the Tri-City Americans tonight at CN Centre(April 9).

The goal clinched the series for the Cougars in six games, four games to two.

It was a dramatic finish to a game Tri City sent to overtime by tying the game at the 13:34 mark of the third period.

It’s the first playoff series Prince George has won since 2007 – sending a crowd of 5,383 into a frenzy.
