Suspicious death investigation leads to manslaughter charge

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP has announced a manslaughter charge in connection with a suspicious death on March 7, 2023.

It happened following an altercation at an apartment complex on the 1500-block of Queensway.

“After many dedicated hours of investigation, police have determined this was a homicide and have a suspect in the matter. The B.C. Prosecution has approved one charge of manslaughter against 29-year-old Prince George resident Dakota Rayn Keewatin.

RCMP say he is known to police and is currently in custody on another matter awaiting his next court appearance.
