The Exploration Place seeking provincial grant

PRINCE GEORGE- The last few years have been rather unique for The Exploration Place.

Now as the museum applies for the B.C. Community and Gaming grant, they are looking for support.

According to the Provincial website, the B.C gaming grant provides $140 million annually to not-for-profit organizations throughout B.C, to support their delivery of ongoing programs and services that meet the needs of their communities.

The application process goes like this.

The Exploration Place requires letters of support from relevant local organizations to help justify the reasons for their programs and services. One of the many organizations likely to offer their support is the regional district of Fraser- Fort Geroge.

“They’re critical to the community,” said Lara Beckett, Board Chair of the Regional District of Fraser Fort George. ” Having The Exploration Place and what they offer in this community is just such a fabulous asset.

The deadline for The Exploration Place to submit its application for this gaming grant is April 30th, 2023.
