Future of HUB Housing project still up in the air

PRINCE GEORGE – A decision on the housing project at 4500 Ospika Boulevard in BC’s Northern Capital will have to wait for another city council meeting.

The deferment of the decision came from a motion by Councillor Ron Polillo who said there was too much missing information to approve or deny the project.

The history of the project located at the corner of Ospika and Tyner is lengthy with the developer completely changing the intention of the apartment building in recent months from student housing to what is now proposed to be a 118-unit senior housing complex.

Councillors Brian Skakun and Trudy Klassen along with Mayor Simon Yu were against pushing off the decision.
