PRINCE GEORGE – Following the announcement of a tentative agreement in the labour dispute at B.C. ports, Canfor Pulp Products is announcing that Northwood Pulp Mill in Prince George will resume production next week, specifically the week of July 17.

The curtailment impacted roughly 475 Northwood employees. The tentative deal brings an end to a 13-day strike by workers with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Canada, which is estimated to have disrupted 9.7-billion-dollars in trade as of this morning.
The deal is subject to ratification by members of both the union and the employers.
The C-E-O of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters says it will take manufacturers months to get caught up.
