PRINCE GEORGE — With opening kickoff less than a week away for the Prince George Kodiaks, we feature some players to watch out for in the 2023 Season.

Jerome Erickson wasn’t always in love with football. After breaking his arm playing the game as a kid it seemed he was done with the sport before a certain player helped him rekindle his love of football in high school.

From there Erickson always wanted to play the game at the next level, but no opportunities arose for the Prince George kid. Then the Kodiaks arrived to town and the rest is history.

Erickson finished his rookie year with 36 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns. He also was the first Kodiak in history to be named Rookie of the Week after a nine reception, 99-yard performance against the Valley Huskers where he also added a touchdown. Now with Head Coach Jamie Boreham at the helm, the College Heights Cougars alumni is looking to give it his all knowing Boreham will give 100 per cent as well.

Now it’s a countdown to the season opener at home. With the receiver noting how loud it can get, with Prince George already solidifying its place as one of the loudest environments to play in.
