Uride’s Ride for a Reason Initiative raises nearly $8000 for local senior centers

PRINCE GEORGE — Uride, a ridesharing company, has raised nearly $8,000 dollars for local senior centers across the country including one here in Prince George.

The Ride for a Reason initiative encouraged users of Uride’s service to pledge 10 percent of all fares earned on July 25 toward supporting senior centers. The proceeds from this initiative will be directed to local seniors centers, including the Hart Pioneer Centre.

Cody Ruberto, founder and CEO of Uride said that “the dedication and support from our riders have not only raised a significant amount of funds but have also shown great compassion for our senior citizens.”

Uride was founded in 2017 and focuses on smaller markets. Uride’s mission is “to end impaired driving and empower local communities through reliable and convenient transportation.”
