PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Kodiaks took on the winless VI Raiders this past weekend for their first road game of the 2023 season.

It came down to the wire in this one but it was Kicker Brady Harper playing hero once again. His day included going a perfect three for three on field goals including a 22-yard game-winner as time expired giving the Kodiaks their 2nd win of the year. The final score was 17-15.

Before the winning kick, quarterback Sam Sabine led a Kodiaks Game-Winning Drive with only 1:30 to go, starting at their own 20-yard line. He connected with receiver Kayle Cowley for a couple of conversions which led to good field position for Harper’s kick

Other notable performances included Prince George’s Nicholas Tremblay recording an interception, receiver Kaden Wagner scoring his first touchdown of the year, and the ground game rushing for over 100 yards between Xander Shane and Makahaya Williams. The Kodiaks now have a bye week before heading back out on the road for a big game against the 2-1 Langley Rams on Saturday, September 9th.
