LANGLEY — After a draw in their first match, the UNBC Timberwolves men’s soccer were not able to get on the board in their second tilt in as many nights against the Trinity Western Spartans, losing 3-0 as a result on Saturday (September 3).

The Timberwolves came out with an early grip on momentum, earning a number of threatening chances and corner kicks in the opening minutes.

Rookies Isaac Tate and Anton Zadonsky had the best chances, but Yeshua Silwamba did well to deny the opportunities. UNBC had three shots and three corners in the first seven minutes of the match.

The Spartans however would strike first in the 36th minute thanks to CJ Rossi. Thomas Powell and Koss Nystedt would score the other two goals for TWU en route to a 3-0-1 record on the season while UNBC falls to 0-3-1 on the campaign.
