Vehicle incident on Highway 97 at Chetwynd

PRINCE GEORGE —Update: North District RCMP now confirm that on September 4, at 9:18 am, Chetwynd RCMP responded to a single-vehicle crash.

A semi had rolled over on Highway 97 S near East Pine. The driver and lone occupant received non life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

Due to the contents of the semi, the highway was closed to all traffic so that crews could safely clear the crash scene. The causal factors have yet to be determined but police do not believe alcohol to be involved.
