PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP have released more information regarding the fatal two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Upper Fraser Road and Beaver Forest Service Road over the long weekend.

Witnesses told police that a Jeep YJ was traveling westbound on the Forest Service Road Saturday night just before 6 p.m. when it collided in the intersection with a Honda Civic. Unfortunately, the driver of the Jeep did not survive the collision. The passenger of the Jeep and the two occupants of the Honda Civic were transported to hospital in serious condition.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased. Investigators would like to commend the actions of the witnesses who stopped at the scene of the accident and risked personal injury in order to pull the occupants of the Honda Civic to safety, which undoubtedly prevented further injury to the two individuals,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The investigation remains ongoing. No further details will be released.
