Ocock Lake wildfire under evacuation order

The Regional Districts of Bulkley-Nechako and Fraser-Fort George have issued an evacuation order in the area of the Ocock Lake Wildfire near Noonlang Lake , approximately 85 kilometres north of Vanderhoof. The order is an expansion and upgrade of the alert issued on September 5.
An evacuation alert amendment was also issued for the Big Creek Wildfire,upon recommendations from the BC Wildfire Service. The alert was first issued on August 21.
