WINNIPEG, MB– The UNBC Timberwolves and Winnipeg Wesmen tied 0-0 in an intense game yesterday (Sept 16th) in Winnipeg, MB. The TWolves had possession for most of the game and had an advantage in shots, shots on goal, and corner kicks earned.

During the 25th minute, the TWolves had chances to score, with Camryn Cline and Kjera Hayman taking good shots. However, Wesmen goalkeeper Madison Priebe did well to prevent any goals and keep the score at 0-0. Sidney Elliott’s attempt missed the post in the 39th minute. After 45 minutes, the game remained scoreless, but UNBC held a 9-4 advantage in shots. Wesmen missed a chance to score in the 52nd minute after a shot by Chloe Zarrillo went just over the crossbar.

After a back-and-forth battle for control, the game ended in a tie with a score of 0-0. Maleah Fernie, a first-year defender, was recognized as the Earls Road Warrior of the Game for her poised performance in the draw.

The TWolves are coming back home to prepare for a challenging weekend against the Alberta Pandas and MacEwan Griffins
