PRINCE GEORGE — The Rotary Club has been entrenched into Prince George for decades, and we fall under District 5040, and the District Governor of 5040 is currently Dr. Shirley Pat Gale, and has made a visit to Prince George to see some of the many projects that Rotary has been involved in.

Gale says that the impact of volunteer hours for various projects, just in Prince George alone, is worth millions.

“I can tell you locally that the impact of the volunteer hours that the amazing Rotary family gives in Prince George is millions of dollars … I’d say it’s probably closer to 10 million, but the true impact is the I would say the impact that’s not measurable.” – Dr. Shirley Pat Gale, District Governor for District 5040, Rotary Club

The number of projects in the community that have had Rotary involvement is substantial, including the skateboard park on Massey Drive, the disc golf course at Rainbow Park, the soccer fields on 18th and Ospika, the pergola at UNBC and the road taking you into Connaught Hill Park are just a few of those projects.
