City of Prince George announces their commitment to Community Inclusion Month
PRINCE GEORGE—October is Community Inclusion Month with communities across B.C. focusing on making their places a more inclusive and welcoming place for all citizens. At city hall a flag was put up for AiMHi, Prince George’s Community Living Association, a social services organization dedicated to providing opportunities and support for people who have special needs and their families.
A proclamation was declared at the flag raising ceremony to announce that the City of Prince George is committed to enhancing inclusion and ensuring that people with developmental disabilities can participate fully in society.
Copy of the ProclomationOn October 16, AiMHi Prince George’s Community Living Association along with the National Film Board are putting on a special screening of “Lay Down Your Heart” at the PG Playhouse. “Lay Down Your Heart” is a movie about Niall McNeil, an artist and performer with Down Syndrome, and his unique chosen family. Show starts at 7 p.m., tickets will be available at the door or by donation
