4 Prince George RCMP members to attend funeral for fallen RCMP Cst. Rick O’Brien

PRINCE GEORGE — Some local representation for the procession and funeral service for RCMP Cst. Rick O’Brien in Langley Wednesday.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Jenn Cooper says four members of the Prince George detachment will attend the procession and funeral.

“When a police officer dies, it’s like losing a member of the family and it affects all of us,” she told CKPG News.

Cst. O’Brien was shot and killed while executing a warrant in Coquitlam on September 22.
