Dozens gather to honour MMIWG2S on national day of action
PRINCE GEORGE — Today is the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-spirit people. Outside of the memorial at Highway 16 and Ferry Avenue, dozens gathered to honour those lives which have been lost.
The march is one of just many being held across the country today and this march was organized by the Nadleh Whut’en First Nation, and Serina Greene is just one of the organizers.
“We’re doing a walk for Aboriginal men and women and the two spirited boys and girls that didn’t have a voice that passed away without justice and without anyone speaking for them. So today I want them all to have a voice because their voices were heard and I want to be have awareness for them today.” – Serina Greene, Nadleh Whut’en First Nation
