Fire training scheduled for YXS

PRINCE GEORGE — Several live fire training sessions are taking place over the next two weeks at the Prince George Airport.

Training sessions are scheduled for October 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20, 2023.

Locals are reminded these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas. These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances.

The airport notes however that these fires may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area.
