Nov 4, 2023 | 3:17 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – Studio Fair made its annual showing over the weekend. The big three-day event that kickstarts Christmas shopping hit the CN Centre, giving people across Northern B.C. the chance to see what types of goodies are on the market.

“We’re really happy to be in our 47th year of Studio Fair. It is just taking a huge amount of community support to get to this level of being in this brand new venue for the last three years has been certainly a huge opportunity to grow the event.”

– Lisa Redpath, PG Community Arts Council

The event brings vendors together from across Canada, lots of which continue to be a part of Studio Fair because of the environment.

“The people. Yeah, really, it’s the people and connecting with them year after year. You have your people that come and have relationships with them and they come to see you and see what you’ve been doing and what we’ve been creating. Not only just the people coming to shop but also the other vendors.”

– Briana Mercier & Billi Mercier, Vendors of Urban Alchemy & Luxadorn

Studio Fair kicks off the book-selling season for Troy Townsin as well, as he makes his way to other cities to share his work.

“We head to Vancouver next week, we do a show in Calgary and then I’ve got a ten-day show in Toronto.”

– Troy Townsin, Book Author
