Powder King opening postponed to November 30

PRINCE GEORGE— For many eager to hit the slopes the announcement on Powder King postponing their opening can be hard to hear. However, the lack of snow has delayed their opening to a tentative November 30.

Currently, there is 80 cm on the top of the mountain but only 20 – 40cm at the base.

Thankfully, Enviroment Canada is predicting the temperatures to dip down as we head into the weekend with a 60 percent chance of flurries.

Powder King also announced that their day lodge build is complete and that staff are onsite and training has begun.
