PRINCE GEORGE— Dust off those skates and get your gym kit ready because the City of Prince George is launching the 2023/2024 winter Community Association Recreation Guide today.

The guide features a wide variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities for all ages offered by local community associations.

Seven community association within Prince George offer programs in school gyms, fields, and parks throughout the city to residents of all ages and experience levels. Programs include activities like floor hockey, indoor soccer, pickleball, martial arts and more.

The seven associations are:

  • Beaverly West Leisure Society
  • Blackburn Community Association
  • College Heights Community Association
  • Crescents Community Association
  • Hart Community Association
  • South Bowl Community Association
  • West Bowl Community Association

The guide also contains a map of all the community outdoor ice rinks for skaters. Once the snow sticks around, it’ll be time to lace up those skates and enjoy a true Canadian winter.

Residents of Prince George are welcome to register for any community association’s programs and events. The City has also partnered with EngageSport North which supports community association grassroot recreation opportunities throughout our community.

The activities are made possible through the committed and dedicated volunteers of each community association that provide programs for every neighbourhood in the city.
