Two injured in Johnson Street shooting
PRINCE GEORGE — Two people were injured in a shooting on Johnson Street early Thursday (Dec.7) morning.
Prince George RCMP say it occurred just after 1 a.m. in the backyard of a home on the 700-block of Johnson Street.
When police officers arrived at the location, police found two people suffering from gunshot wounds. Mounties say the injured persons were taken to the hospital where they are being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
“The two victims are known to police, and investigators believe this to be a targeted attack, with no increased risk to the general public. Police officers are currently looking to obtain any video surveillance or dash camera footage from the area, or to speak with anyone who might have seen people or vehicles traveling through the neighbourhood between 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. this morning,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
