PRINCE GEORGE – Santa and the Salmon Valley Volunteer Fire Department made their rounds on Saturday to spread some Christmas cheer to the little ones in the community.

“We were doing the fourth annual Salmon Valley Volunteer Santa Drive and what we’re going to do is we’re going to have two routes […] to deliver presents to all of the kids that registered. We have a total of 67 kids. We’re going to stop at the end of each driveway and have a visit with Santa and deliver some gifts.”

– Kimi Wertz, Volunteer Fire Fighter

One of the things the firefighters look forward to, just as much as the kids, is to experience the magic of the Christmas season.

“We want to bring joy. It’s not just about us coming to a really bad situation. It’s about us also coming in and doing some really fun things with them so they can see us in that light as well.”

– Lt. Bobbi Carpino, Training Officer, Salmon Valley Volunteer Fire Department
