Eliminate X-mas tree waste through the recycling program at the CN Centre Jan. 6-7

PRINCE GEORGE—Give your Christmas Tree the gift of a second life after the holidays are over with the help City of Prince George and Job’s Daughters Christmas Tree recycling Program.

On the first weekend of January (6 and 7) drop off your natural trees at the CN Centre parking lot near the intersection of 18th Avenue and Ospika Boulevard. The trees will then be turned in to woodchips for the City’s parks division to reuse in the local parks come spring.

Make sure all tree decorations and tinsel is removed and collow the directions of the volunteers. The trees also need to be made of wood and not plastic.

There is no cost to drop off a tree.However, the City notes that donations to the event organizers, Job’s Daughters, are appreciated.
