Tree of Lights raises tens of thousands of dollars, but falls well short of goal

PRINCE GEORGE – The United Way Tree of Lights campaign wrapped up its fifth year last week, and the total amount raised was $26, 304. While this is certainly a large amount of cash, it falls well short of the goal of $50 000 set by United Way at the start of the campaign.

Even though the goal wasn’t reached, United Way repeatedly expressed its gratitude and thanks on its Facebook page to all of the sponsors and people who donated to continue supporting United Way. All the funds raised through the campaign are going to support children and youth programming in Prince George.
