Cougars acquire forward in trade with Regina Pats
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have completed a trade with the Regina Pats.
The Cougars have acquired 19-year-old forward Borya Valis from the Pats in exchange defenseman Tyson Buczkowski, a fourth round draft pick in 2024 and a conditional third-round pick in 2027.
Valis, a native of Denver Colorado, has 33 points in 35 games this season (13 goals and 20 assists). He is 6’2″ and has 106 points in 147 career WHL games (44 goals and 62 assists).
“Valis is an offensive player that has a nose for the net,” says Cougars GM and Head Coach Mark Lamb. “His experience and size are also something we were looking for, especially with the injury to Ziemmer.”
