You can still get your Christmas Tree recycled for free
PRINCE GEORGE – If you still have your Christmas tree and aren’t sure what to do with it, it’s not too late to get it recycled for free.
On January 6 and 7 Job’s Daughters will be at the CN Centre parking lot from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. collecting your Christmas trees to be turned into mulch. The City of Prince George will use the mulch in our parks when the Spring season hits.
This annual program typically brings in anywhere between 200-300 trees, and Job’s daughters says they’re happy to volunteer their time to help the community out. While the recycling is free, any donations to help the organization would be greatly appreciated.
Job’s Daughters is a community organization for girls aged 10-19 to learn leadership skills, public speaking, self confidence, and more. Community involvement is a large focus for the group, as it can achieve many of these goals while also giving back to the community.
