TWolves men beat Lethbridge Pronghorns; women fell

PRINCE GEORGE – The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team bounced back from a narrow Friday loss with a 80-78 victory over the Lethbridge Pronghorns.

Veteran guard Chris Ross was awarded with the Mr. Mike’s Player of the Game honour. He finished the night with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal while playing consistent, tenacious defense.

Meantime, the women dropped an 81-48 decision. Lethbridge outscored UNBC 22-5 in the third quarter and started off on a 14-0 run, while the final quarter saw Lethbridge outscore UNBC by a 21-10 margin.

Up next for the TWolves, a trip east to Regina to face the Cougars next weekend.
